Plans & Billing
Viewabo offers a free trial and three self-serve plans. This page explains what each plan includes, how to manage your subscription, and what happens at key milestones.
Free Trial
Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial. During the trial you can run up to 10 sessions to explore Viewabo before committing to a plan.
Trial expiry
When your trial ends (14 days or 10 sessions, whichever comes first), you'll be redirected to the plans page to subscribe. Sessions are paused until you choose a plan.
Self-Serve Plans
After your trial, choose one of three self-serve plans:
| Plan | Sessions / Month | Recording Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | 50 sessions | 90 days |
| Growth | 150 sessions | 180 days |
| Scale | 500 sessions | 365 days |
All plans use Stream Sessions. See Recordings & Sharing for details on how retention works.
Checking Your Usage
You can see how many sessions you've used in two places:
- Sessions page banner — A usage bar at the top of the Sessions page shows sessions used vs. your plan limit for the current billing period.
- Account Settings — Go to Account Settings to see your current plan, billing period, and detailed usage.
Usage Alerts
Viewabo sends automatic email alerts to help you stay on top of usage:
- 80% alert — You'll receive an email when you've used 80% of your plan's session limit.
- 100% alert — You'll receive an email when you reach your plan limit. Additional sessions will be billed per-session (see Overage Billing below).
Subscribing
To subscribe after your trial:
- Visit the Viewabo pricing page.
- Select the plan that fits your needs.
- Complete checkout via Stripe.
Your plan becomes active immediately after payment.
Managing Your Subscription
All billing is managed through the Stripe billing portal. To access it:
- Go to Account Settings.
- Click Manage Billing.
- You'll be redirected to the Stripe portal where you can update payment methods, view invoices, upgrade, downgrade, or cancel.
Upgrading or Downgrading
You can change your plan at any time from the Stripe portal. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period.
Cancelling
To cancel, visit the Stripe portal and follow the cancellation steps. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period — you won't be charged again after cancellation.
Data after cancellation
Your session history and recordings remain accessible until the end of your billing period. Recordings are subject to the normal retention policy for your plan even after cancellation.
Overage Billing
If you exceed your plan's monthly session limit, additional sessions are billed on a per-session basis. The per-session overage rate is shown in the Stripe portal and on your invoices.
Pro Tip
If you're regularly hitting your session limit, upgrading to the next plan tier is almost always more cost-effective than paying per-session overage charges.
